Helping Homeless People

Once upon a time a philosopher used to say that there is no such thing as God and that, instead of this, we can associate the notion of God with misanthropy. According to the dictionary, misanthropy as the act of helping other people in the name of goodness, without any other purpose or interest.

How can each of us become a good misanthropist? Well, the first thing is to open our eyes and see who are the people that are really in need of our help? The homeless people, of course.

Though, when it comes to homeless people, most of the people have the tendency to blame as much as they can, as in their opinion, to not have a home is a sin, something that happens only to those that are unworthy. And to be honest with you, in some cases, the homeless people deserve their destiny.

Though, in most of the cases, they deserve our help. And how can we help them without being afraid that they will be ungrateful or without being afraid that we've wasted our money?

First of all, even if according to the general opinion, homeless people are just in need of money, the reality is a bit different. Indeed, they need money, but that's not the first thing that they are in need of. Money comes and goes, and therefore, it doesn’t offer too much stability, right?

So, instead of pointing at the homeless people and telling about them that they just want money without working for them, we can struggle a little and use them as workers. There are plenty of jobs on sites or in agriculture, therefore, instead of walking around on the streets and doing nothing, they can go and work. And, as they will get a salary, they will afford to rent an apartment or something.

Why should we use the homeless people as workers?

First of all, it's a good thing to help people, especially when they are in need of your help. Also, because most of them are unqualified, they don't require a big remuneration and also, they will be the only ones that will accept to do some really hard work.

Still not enough?

Every man deserves a decent life. If we can help them get the life they have ever dreamed at, then we must do it because, after all, once a good thing it is made, it will return as another good, sooner or later, to the one that has made it from the beginning.

Homeless People: Giant Business Or Frightening Reality?

If you have ever watched Slumdog Millionaire or the Romanian movie, Filantropica, then you know what I am about to say. The fact is that there are known many criminal networks that are using beggars as slaves.

Basically, poor people are forced to beg the (financial) mercy of the people that are walking by in exchange of the personal safety, a house and some food, and in some cases, even some money.

According to some reportages that have been made in the last year, it was found out that a "successful" homeless/beggar can earn by begging up to $60 per day. That's a bit scary, right? If some of the beggars can earn up to $1800 by doing nothing, what should the other Americans that were taken their houses by the bank? Should they all go in the cities and just beg?

So, what's the truth about the homeless people? Should we help them, or should we just ignore them, as they are practically working - even if they beg - and our money will go in the pockets of some uncaring frauds?

The fact is the some of these beggars might exist. In fact, they sure are. The only thing is that not all of them are the same. But, as some of the people are really in need of our help and in order to avoid the above explained fact, people have 2 possibilities: either they donate for themselves to someone they know that it is poor and doesn't have a home, either they donate to a well known charity organization. In both of the cases, the money or the things that people have donated, will reach into the pockets that are really in need of those money.

For example, the charity foundation Lady Diana has helped so far, only this year, more than 25,000 homeless people from England, India and South Africa. Even if the organization wasn't able to offer them houses, the homeless people have been offered warm meals every day, hygiene products and even free school lessons.

And if such an organization can help some of the poor people, so we can. It only takes some will and a little bit of misanthropy. And trust us, these things are in each of us. We only have to find them.
